One week to go

With exactly one week to go until launch, training has gone from 100+ miles per week to 40 miles which in turn means I’m gaining a few pounds so feel really sluggish. The weight is good as i’ve been told you can lose 15-20 pounds on this trip. On the logistics side, getting the RV was the easy part, now focus has moved to stocking it! Although it is big, it really doesn’t have as much storage as i had thought. The list of items we are looking for seems massive and it includes items like 10 pair of running shoes as they are mission critical. We have scaled back most items to minimal quantities with the thought that for the first 300 miles we will have plenty of areas to restock and figure out what run rates are before we go into the wilderness. Home Goods today, Costco tomorrow and thank god for Amazon on everything else…what did we do before prime?!
